Naoto Fukasawa replaced the traditional emergency exit sign with an image of Doraemon, a beloved anime character in Japan, entering the "Anywhere Door." This design sparks people's imagination, linking the escape door to the anime's storyline, and resulting in a delightful and effective visual connection. Incorporating memories into design is a particularly interesting approach. Not only does it add more emotional expression and humor to the design, but it also guides people's actions, making the design more engaging and even thought-provoking.

Through exploration models, I realized that the comfort level varies with different bottle sizes. Additionally, I experimented with various bottle shapes and discovered that the design should not only resemble the form of a joystick but also have a distinct personality.
design solution…
Combine the functionality of a joystick with a pepper grinder to create an association between the act of grinding pepper and arcade gaming. By evoking nostalgia for fond memories of the past, enhance the fun of the grinding process and introduce playful moments into the dining experience.
user testing…
Based on the feedback, I changed the original threaded lid structure to a snap-on design, making it more convenient and straightforward to open and clean. Additionally, to enhance the overall user experience, I decided to improve the second mechanical structure for smoother operation. Regarding the overall user experience feedback, most people found the design innovative, and some expressed willingness to take it home for use.
